How are you? Liquen plano or Lichen planus, a condition that forms an itchy rash on the skin or in the mouth, may be associated with allergic or immune reaction. A skin lesion biopsy can confirm the diagnosis and the goal of treatment is to reduce symptoms. Mild symptoms do not require treatment while antihistamines, medicines that calm down the immune system, topical corticosteroids may hep. This condition is usually not harmful and usually gets better with treatment. It often clears up within 18 months but may come and go for years. For
mouth ulcers that are present for a long time, it may develop into oral cancer. Hope this helps. Take care and best regards.
