Lump in throat

by kee84, Nov 08, 2007 03:58PM
I have just found a lump at the front of my throat where a mans adams apple should be, It is hard but not painful , and about the size of a 10pence piece in diameter. I am 23years old and have smoked for about 10years. Does this sound like it could possibly be anything serious or nothing to worry about?? Please advise as I can't get in to see my dr for a few days.  Thank you. Keely.

A hard lump in the neck needs urgent evaluation. Please see if your doctors appointment could be brought forward.
On a more general note, quitting smoking would be a good idea.
