Lung nodules

I went to a pulmonologist back in May of 2009 for a followup of several nodules, 3 in my right upper lobe and 4 in my lower left lobe. Went to my primary physician and he needed the results. It took us four months to get the results. The largest one according to the pulmonologist was 4 ml. My doctor suggested a new CAT and results show numerous nodules in both lungs, too many to count according to the radiologist. The largest again being 4ml. I was told this is a wait and see situation and to have another CAT in three months. They also discovered on the new CAT that I have an ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm. 3.8 on one side and 4.2 on the other. I'm really scared, not sure which one to address first. My initial reaction is anger that the pulmonogist took soooooooooo... long in sending the results. What should my next step be?? I've just turned 53 and also am trying to quit smoking. Any help out there???
