Hi,
A malignant mesothelioma that arises from the pleura (lining of the lung) is a kind of lung cancer. It may also occur in the peritoneum (lining of the abdomen) and other rarer sites.
All the best!

Hi,
Let me qualify my statement above.
Malignant mespthelioma is a cancer that occurs in the lining of the lung.
Traditionally, cancers of the lung tissue are classified into small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and the non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Hope that helps!
