Nervous About SPN Due To History of Melanoma

Hello.  I suppose you could say I've been getting pretty anxious with the upcoming scans my Oncologist has ordered and was looking for a little advice, something along those lines.
In July of 2009 I was diagnosed with Superficial Spreading Malignant Melanoma.  It was caught early, and Stage 1, and with surgery the tumor was removed.  I had complained about chest pain (my left side almost directly under the breast) well in advance of the Melanoma diagnosis, so imagine my surprise when the Oncologist gave me news of an 8mm SPN in my upper left lobe.  He had ordered a scan and bloodwork because of the lung complaint.  The scan report didn't specify what the edges were like, but again, it states an 8mm SPN with central punctate calcification.  The Dr. said he doesn't think it's a malignancy, but I go for a second scan next week on the 20th of November to see if there has been any growth.
I'm just nervous, the history of Melanoma (on my neck), I am a 38 year old female, smoker (20 years/1 pack day).
I will sum it all up with the question of does lung cancer ever have central punctate calcification?  Can a Stage 1 Melanoma spread into the bloodstream and travel to the lungs?  I'm just nervous.
Thank you in advance for your time : )
