Nickle sized spot on lung at 34 years of age

I do not smoke and am 34 years old.
I had bronchitis for 2 months and have had a cough that does not go away.
Had xray and it was found that I have a nickle sized spot on my lunch.

What could it be ....I am so worried.

Hi,
How are you? What symptoms are present? Do you still have cough? The spot in your lung could be due to a variety of issues such as  a nodule or granuloma. A granuloma is a small area of inflammation in tissue due to injury or previous infection while a nodule  appears as round, white shadows in a chest x-ray. Nodules may be due to infections, lung cysts, and vascular abnormalities. However, larger nodules may suggest malignancy. It is best that you discuss the result with your doctor for proper evaluation and to ease any worries. Take care and do keep us posted.
