Pancoast Tumor

Hello, my mother in law has Cancer,  a Pancoast Tumor, about 8cms on her left side by her aorta  and spine.  She is nearly 48 years old.  It has spread  her chest cavity and lymph nodes.  She is going into hospital tomorrow for combi chemo.

She had an chest xray back in october this year, and everything has happened rather quickly. She was having shoulder and arm pain, pins and needles and chest pain.  She said she just didn't feel right.

She will also find out tomorrow if it has affected her bones, they say the cancer is probably running through her blood.

I know her prognosis is not good at all, but is there any chance her body would respond well to the chemo.

Any info would be gratefully recieved.
