My mom has to have lung cancer surgery. shes 70. Good health, other than breast cancer in Oct of last year..mastectomyMastectomy Mastectomy - series on left side. The lung cancer is very small..about an inch..and he said a lobectomy...( sorry I dont know more about it) ...But my question is just a very general question.
what do we expect after her lung surgery? How will she "be"? Will she be in tremendous pain? Up and around? Down in bed? Struggling to breathe? Recouperating fast, or is it a long recoveryRecovery position - series?
They live in a very rural area..coming to the "big city" for the whole surgery thing..but when they dismiss her, shes going home...and the nearest hospital is a good 30 minutes away. I will be taking off work to go up and just help her and my dad..he cant do it all...and Im kinda (well, ok, very) nervous about taking care of her...far from medical help.
Are there big bandages?
