Pleural based nodule

A <4mm pleural based nodule was found in the right lung base after ct scan for pancreatic cancer.  Dr. recommended having that check out.  Does this sound serious or something I could wait on having checked.  I am having pain in the middle of my back.  The ct scan for pancreatic cancer came back normal.
