Prominant Bronchovaskumar Markings

I am 23 yr old...smoking on an average thrice a weak for 3 years...recently X ray showed this -

- Prominant  Bronchovaskumar Markings
- Hyler gland ( inflamation (inflammation) or swelling ..something to do with hyler)

I have been advised not to smoke.
Could this develop into some serious problem in future ? What are the steps to be taken to reduce these markings..?
What to eat and what not to ?

Please help...very worried.
Regards

Hi,
As mentioned from other post, it is recommended that you stop smoking as well as eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids. Prominence of bronchovascular markings may be associated with viral infection like pneumonia as well as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is best that you discuss the result with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
