Sizes and more than one mass..In lung

My husband suddenly had massive pain in his mid-lower back that went up to shoulder and chest...Went to hospital and they did a CT scan to check his kidney for stones..upon this they saw a bit of his lung and was not right so back he went then for a contrast CT of chest. It showed 2 masses they said about the size of KUMQUATS yeah thats what they said...at the bottom of his left lungOne on each side of the lowere portion, and there was fluid in the whole lower portion...His oxygen level was to 93%.They said they were solid masses ...somthing about the light in the scan so they could tell???anyhow we wnt to our family Dr.who recomened antibiotics and pain meds for 2 wks then another CT to see if they had cahnged at all...My husband couldnt wait so we wnet to a specialist our Dr. recommended..When we went he asked my husband about asbestos exsposure...and also told him to finish the meds and told him to also take 400mg of advil 3 times a day and gave him percoset and predisolone...Told him he would feel MUCH better in 24-48 hrs which he did but still is not great...Is finished with antibiotics and is still taking the pain meds feels better but not great...He is concerned is cancer...We have a wekk to wait for other CT..But we have kinda been told that cancer usually only has ONE mass..and No fluid and the masses are not that large...What could it be?He really doesnt have any other symtoms (symptoms)..It started as drop to your knees pain in back, then went to him saying he felt like having a heart attack...and pain in side..hurts to breath deep..and a bit fatigued...thought was from meds??? any ideas? sorry I've rambled on... Thanks Beth
