Slodier looking for help following Colon Cancer

I had Colon/rectal cancer last year, Had surgery, chemo, radiation, found 8 nodules on lungs(nov07) NOW Today 17 dec CT scan shows more spots and some have grew to at least 6mm.I've been off chemo 6 months. What can they be? metastasis?. Whats the outlook here. NON smoker ever, NON drinker x 7 years, excellent health. Fair diet . 43 year old male

After reading your post you are in the same boat as my sister.  My sister was diagnosed with rectal cancer January 07 ( she was 38).  she received chemo and then in May 07 had the surgery to get a colostomy.  Then she had more chemo and in Oct 07 was told everything looks good.  They were watching something on her lung but was not going to do anything unless it changed.  Well in May 08 it got a little bigger.  
She has spots on her lung but they have not changed.  One of the spots was 6mm and it grew to 9mm.  She had a biopsy of the lung in May 08 and came back the rectal cancer spread to lung.  Operation on the lung is not an option because it is very hard surgery as well as sometimes not easy to find and take out tumor.  They have not told her what stage she is but from what i understand once the rectal cancer goes to other organs it is Stage IV.  She has been undergoing chemo since May 08 and end of February will have another CT to see if it is shrinking.  I know that rectal cancer can spread to the brain, lung or ovaries.  My sister as well is a non-smoker, non drinker and healthy weight.  
Keep the hope and keep fighting.  Like my sister's doctor says, I could give you all the chemo and medicine to fight the cancer but you need to fight with your mind.  Mind (attitude) and body go together.  Good luck
