Spiculated density/phnemonia

by surferFL, Nov 04, 2009 01:54PM
Sorry for my English (I'm European). My husband has a sever phnemonia for two weeks. He has been in the hospial for all this time. THey performed CAT scan and found spiculated density. He has to repeat CAT scan in 6 weeks. He is 53 and a life time smoker (quited recently).
The quiestion is: Can this spiculated density be mistaken with some scarring in lungs, because of his phnemonia (he also had a severe phnemonia in the past).
He has been discharged from the hospital and our family doctor ordered xray. Xray came back normal (however it didn't show any abnormalities befoe, as well..)
We are just trying to have some hope.....Thank you!
