Very small Pulmonary Nodule which is growing

I have been diagnosed with a very small lung nodule.  I  have never smoke but I do have Lupus. I was diagnosed six months ago with a 3mm lung nodule and they decided to follow with CT scanning.    My last scan showed that the nodule grew to 5mm I know that  this is still considered very small.  But my regular dr. suggested I see a pulmonologist. I was wondering if they will continue to follow this with CT scan or does this warrant a biopsy? I know its small so I'm not really concerned.
