What Next?

Six weeks ago I was had a Chest x-ray and was diagnosed with Pneumonia...at that time a nodule was spotted and I was told I needed a CT scan...Instead I waited 4 weeks and was x-rayed again after the pneumonia cleared....the nodule was still there.....1.8 cm...I then had the CT scan...was told I needed a PET Scan....I had that 2 days ago.....It did show positive...but now they say it could still not be cancer,,,,,I thought that was why I had the scan and it was to tell me if it "glowed" I had cancer???   They say now it could be a fungus.....I already have an appointment in July now with a pulmonary specialist...I am afraid that they are going to want to do a lung biopsy now.  Would you think that a 1,8 cm nodule in the right lower lung that shows glowing red is cancer?  I have all the symptoms except no weight loss....I apparently developed another infection because I am now on the second round of antibiotics...infection has cleared up but I am still coughing and wheezing...I am wondering if that is just allergies though considering the time of year....I think I should just wait and see if the nodule grows over a period of 3 months or so but my family doesn't agree....Should I continue having all these tests or wait awhile to see if there is any gowth....my daughter seems to think a fungus could also grow and I need to have a biopsy to tell for sure...not looking forward to that for some reason......
