Hi,
A biopsy procedure is usually a very safe procedure. It involves taking some part of the suspected tissue for lab examination so that a diagnosis regarding whether the lesion is benign or malignant can be established. You should discuss with your doctor the type of biopsy procedure he thinks would be best for you. It is either done under CT guided or through a bronchoscope. Discuss with your doctor what he is suspecting and when should you expect the biopsy results to come in. Goodluck.
