is this lung cancer the doctor said it is posible but not probible becasue of my age but he cant figure it out

so in January i was diagnosed with astham but then 3 months ago when i started school i started having coughing attacks everyday to the point were i was taken to the er once a week becasue they could not be controled or stoped  2 months ago i started having a coughing attack but in stead of lasting a hour it lasted 2 weeks and nothing the doc did could stop it so he sent me to the childrens hospital were they did a blood test and a ct scan the ct scan showed 8 pulmonery nodules in the lower lobes of bothe my lungs ranging from .8-1.8cm also enlarged lymph nodes and a retracted gullbader (wich has nothing to do with theis) the blood test came back with a slightly elivated white blood count and 2400ige level the following week i was still in the hospital they did a bronchoscopy and cultured it for fungus and all came back neg they tested for parasites and eveything came back neg the loaded me up to the max does of steroids and sent me home with a referal to a pulmonoligist and alergy (allergy) specilist then last week a month after my releas i started getting the coughing spasms back along with major headaches vision problems and back pains and lower and uper abdominal pain i go back this wednesday for a full blood workup and another ct to see how the nodules and how they have progressed and decide what the next step will be has anybody had this problem i mena the doc said it could possibly be lung cancer do to my ex poser to second hand smoke and the fact i lived in china but they dont really think so any ideas??????? also i have recently had a very hard time swallowing...
