laarge solid mass in chest

I have  stage 3 lung cancer . 2 Dr. say it is in remission , 2 Dr. say it is not.  
I Had this spot come up on my chest which was red swollen and hot to the touch.  Dr. said go home and put ice on it.  I did and it got very large in a week.  Went to another Dr. which said it was celluitis got 6 weeks of antibiotics through  the IV and it did improve but not gone.  One Dr. says it is a tumor another Dr. says it is unknown.
Wondering if any one has such a thing happen to them
