lung cancer availibiliy of surgery

My father who is 66 year old( 92 Kg) is diagnosed as Lung cancer after making bronchoscope ( 29.03.10) and biopsy ( 31.03.10 ) on Mesa Hospital in Ankara by Prof Dr Numan Numanoğlu.
The type of the cancer cell is squamose cell carcinoma. There is no metastasis to any other place/ organs.
According to PET CT it is placed on the left lung lower channel( SUV max : 14), like shown at the bottom and 7th lens nodule( SUV max :4,5), as shown below with black color


The doctors think that there is no problem of making surgery , but they may take left lower lobe of lung or full left lung and they will decide during operation.
Our problem is that the berating test results and stair test results does not match each other.
The patient can climb 5 floor stair without any problem and without forcing him too much. ( he can climb 2-3 floor more )
However the breathing test result are shown that ;FEV1 is 0,76 Lt .

From the perfusion test it is shown that the breathing separation;
Right lung:70%
Left Upper lobe of lung:17%
Left Lower lobe of lung: 13%
In other words if they will

The doctors say that it is not possible for a person whose FEV1 value 0,76 lt and can climb 5 floors, so they are confused. The patient has berating problem ( bronchitis and asthym ) since may be 30 years period . There is no problem on cardiologic side ( one EKO or EKG)
Since the survival possibility is higher with surgery we hope we can get rid of this cancer with surgery but of course if the risk will be high or if you thing that radiotherapy/chemotherapy may have better result according to your experience we want to make this treatment in your hospital.

What I want from you; As far as I have read from your web site, you are dealing many patient and you may have been faced similar situation like this. If you need any of the test result I can translate and send you back, if you think you  have similar patients with high survival value we want to come to you in order to make surgery or radiotherapy/chemotherapy treatment.
