lung cancer treatment in such case

Hi, my dad is recently diagnosed with moderately differentiating infiltrating squamous cell carcinoma of lung. His left lung shows collapse with small pleural effusion suggestive of central bronchogenic carcinoma. left main bronchus < 1cm from carina and is occluded  by nodulo ulcerative lesion.Small nodes are seen in precarinal region.

He has been given one cycle of Chemotherapy 5 days back ( chemotax + carboplatin) and is about to have another cylce by 1st week of feb.

kindly suggest a second opinion and what you think of his lung cancer stage and the te life expectancy in such a case
