I am 37yr old male from east africa,december last year i have been diagnosed with stage IV non small Lung Cancer adenocarcinoma,lung,liver,spine with worsening dyspnoea secondary to pleuralPleural effusion Pleural fluid analysis Pleural needle biopsy effusion. even though they told me that i had a TB in my blood but wasn't active then again they find out that i have kidney TB.so my quetion is,is it possible to have TB and Canser at the sametime?

Yes it is possible to have cancer at the same time. The patterns of disease would depend on where you are. There are places where tuberculosis is commonplace, and so its frequency raises the odds of having both diseases. There are also conditions that render the body more prone to infection. If we consider the case of HIV AIDS, many of these patients may also have tuberculosis and such cancers as Lymphoma and Kaposi Sarcoma.
For lung cancer and tuberculosis, there isn’t a specific link between the two diseases. Try to find out though that the tuberculosis really is present. There are clear criteria to demonstrate the presence of both, these usually require sampling of body tissue and fluids.
