no show for pancoast tumors

no show for pancoast tumors

I deeply appreciate any help regarding my question. I am certain that I have pancoast tumors. My breathing has become difficult in the years and I have had cardiac work which always turns out fine except the MD's would always add "we're a little concerned about your breathing". I've been physically exhausted for a while. In the past four months my left shoulder-clavicle,ribs have ached. Initially it seemed to effect me when I ate or drank fluids. Slowly the aching effected me all the time but worsened after meals or fluids. I also can not eat much because it feels like there is no room. About a  month and a half ago the aching started to actually at times become painful.  My left side of my neck is now starting to  feel effected besides ribs/back- clavicle when I lay on my left side in bed. I've also lost about six pounds, probably due to eating less. In Mar/Aug 08 had CT's and nothing shows. On 10/30/08 had MRI and no show!  Thanks for any help/Peace,

Hey Canary,
I'm no doctor. But I've recent had some of the same symtoms (symptoms) as you and thus have done a tremedus amount of research on pancoast tumors. I would say your symtoms (symptoms) sound more like gall stones or some gall bladder issues, but you said its on your left side so I'm not sure what over there would cause it. Especially since your pain gets worse after  eating or drinking.
The weight could be due to stress and anciety. Besides 6 pounds isn't really a lot in regards to flushing. If it were like 10pounds or more.
The fact that you've had clean CT's in March and August makes it very unlikey that you have LC.
Having said that I would still follow up with your PCP to find the source of your problem. But I think you can put your mind at ease regarding Pancoast tumors.
Hope this helps - stay strong and positive and may God bless
