Hi,
It is unlikely to be cancer, especially lung cancer.
You should start warm saline gargles, and a course of antibiotics (for example amoxycillin). If the pain remains, please consult your doctor again.
Good Luck!

Hi, i went to the doctor and he had a feel around my throat but could not find any lumps etc.  The pain did go but it has come back again today. Do you think i can dismiss cancer though as he said it all felt normal?

thanks

Thanks Dr

I have an appointment to get it looked at on Monday. I am hoping you are right in that it is just a throat infection

God bless

John

Hi,
This is not at all a usual way for lung cancer to present.
It is more likely that you have a throat infection. You may like to gargle with an antiseptic solution and warm salt-water. If the pain persists, please consult a doctor.
Best of Luck, and God Bless!
