pre-carinal lymph nodes

i had a high definition ct chest scan and they have found a 14mm pre-carinal lymph node i also have two pulmonary bullae wich rest against the superior mediastinum on each side at the lung apices could you explane what all this is

Hi,
Are you a smoker? Do you have any chronic cough or other lung conditions? What are the sizes of the two bullae?
A single pre-carinal lymph node, without any suspicious lung lesion on high resolution CT scan is probably not of concern for cancer.
A course of antibiotics, with a repeat scan after 8 to 12 weeks may suffice. If there is no resolution of the pre-carinal node, a PET may be warranted.
