shooting technique for lung cancer

by fung, Jan 10, 2009 08:10PM

Dear Doctor,
My sister, 42 yrs, just diagnosed 2 weeks ago with stadium 4 lung cancer ( 6,6cm x 5 x 5) with metastasized to brain ( 2 tumors- 1 ,3 and 2,3 cm) and Right now she is in china undergoing some treatments. yesterday, while on chero treatment for lung and radiation for the brain, doctor found  a tumor  in her ovarium wall about 3 cm diameter..
She got chero treatment ( localised chemotherapy ) for her lung cancer to shrink the tumor first and after they reach the minimum size then doctor will put certain partikels right on the tumor ( with FNA) and 'shoot' the tumor until it fall off.
What do you think of this technique?
Doctor assumed   that the main cancer is ovarium although it's size is smaller that the lung's tumor.
What do you also think about that?
Thanks for your time
