shortness of breath for 3 months

I have been short of breath for 3 months and have had a cough for 2 months. Nothing is helping. Chest xrays are clear. Could there be a tumor somewhere they are not seeing?

Hi,
How are you? It is good that the chest x-ray is clear. Shortness of breath are usually attributed to heart or lung conditions, kidney issues, anemia,  anxiety or panic attacks, allergic issues, neuromuscular disorders, certain environmental factors and even being overweight. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Additional diagnostic tests may need to be done. Gastrointestinal or allergic issues may also be ruled out for the chronic cough. Take care and regards.
