spiculated infiltrating lesion

spiculated infiltrating lesion

There are some questions about my current lung x-rays. My Ct scans describe current problem as more infection than neoplasm.Possibly MAC, although I am not HIV positive nor gay. And I had only one sputum test done. But recent chest x-rays were as follows,  Reexamination of the chest and multiple veiws including digital subtraction images again demonstrates a large somewhat spiculated infiltrating lesion in the right lung field. Most likely consistent neoplasm. There are pulmonary pericardial pleural adhesions along the left cardiac margin.

What are your opinions and should I get a second opinion. I really don't want an open lung biopsy done.

Hi,
You may like to get a PET-CT done. The PET scan will provide some more clinical information and help in arriving at a diagnosis. A Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) will also be very useful in your case.
Please consult a pulmonologist or oncologist.
All the best, and God Bless!
