I am a 2 pack a day smoker, I have recentley got over having bronchitis 3 times in a role, both rib cages and diaphragm hurt as well as my upper back. I can't do any lifting or it makes it worse. Im wondering if I have the early stages of lung cancer. my father had lung cancer when i was 10, but it was non malignant.

Looked up clubbed fingers to see a picture but this is one of the early signs of something going on in the lungs. My mom has stage 4 lung cancer right now. She did have problems with her nails squeezing especially her toes. Hope this helps, but seriously demand a CT if you feel the need to do so. Lung cancer when caught early is curable but unfortuneately that is rarely the case. Rarely is it detectable in a chest xray as well. We need to be vigilant in our health cause lately I feel that we are taken seriously. Get a new doctor if the one you have doesn't listen or is not as vigilant as you would like. Remember they work for you!
