wondering if its a possible cancer or other disease

I have excessive caughing and have had so for a couple of years.I  am a smoker. I had a chest xray and it said pa and latteral views of the chest demonstrate hyperaeration, scarring vs infiltrate of left base. fullness of the right  hilum. and aorta is tortuous.. What i can gater is that the aorta is twisted. Is this typical with a specific lung cancer or a nother disease. My white blood count is also elavated. Doc said the lymphnodes are enlarged..Waiting to take the ct scan.. Just want to know the different possibilities..Thank you

Hyperaeration would possibly indicate emphysema.
There could also be other contributors as well considering your smoking history.

You should get some more answers fromthe ct scan.
