husband has mass or infiltrate in the left infrahilar and old rib fractures on the right with moderate deformity of the pleura/hernia in the right lateral chest

How is your husband? What symptoms are present? Based on the initial results, further evaluation may need to be done to determine the character of the mass or infiltrate  and hernia found.   Additional blood tests and imaging studies such as CT scan or MRI may also be indicated. To ease any worry, it is best that you discuss the results also with his attending physician or pulmonologist.
