Acute Bronchitis from weedeating Poison Ivy?

Acute Bronchitis from weedeating Poison Ivy?

9 days ago (last Monday), I was weedeating in some tall grass and clover and noticed clouds of white drifting from where I was cutting.  Afterward, I developed head congestion and drainage, sneezing, and coughing.  No fever.  I had experienced this many times before, so I was not concerned - it usually clears up in a few days to a week.

5 days later (Saturday), I was and noticed poison oak.  I continued weedeating because I have only gotten mild rashes when I was young.  I never thought of inhaling poison oak debris or oil.  Soon after I finished, my cough was much worse, and my chest hurt like it was raw when I coughed.  This coughing and pain while coughing continued all night and the next day (Sunday) until I took Lortab.  That night, I had a fever of 100.3, but the Lortab helped me to sleep.  Monday, I went to my physician, forgot to tell him about the poison oak, and he said that I had acute bronchitis, gave me an antibiotic and cough medicine.  I was already taking Nasonex and Allegra.  That night, I had a slight fever, and I have not had a fever since.

I continue to cough and I am tired, and while my chest does not hurt when coughing, it still burns/itches.  Do you think that the acute bronchitis was caused or made more severe by inhaling poison ivy?

Since it has been 4 days since I was exposed to the poison ivy, 2 days since I visited my physician, and I seem to be slowly improving, should I call my physician and tell him about weedeating the poison ivy? Should I expect any different type of treatment than I've currently been prescribed?  I want to prevent pneumonia and any other serious condition.  Thank you.

This is not likely to be infection at all...allergic mediated problems like this are ashtmatic in nature and need to be treated with inhaled anti-inflammatory medicines and other asthma meds
