Bone pain

Hi,
I've recently been diagnosed with lupus. It's still a pretty low activity rate, and my  rheumatologist is trying to keep me off steroids as long as possible. I have been getting an irresistable back pain. It starts in my iliac crest bones and goes up my back all the way to my shoulders, no position is comfortable. And it gets allot worse when I'm tired. Is that part of the lupus? It's been going on for a month. I'm really new to this and I just wanted to know if it was part of it.
