Feeling Ill and confused!

by billdance, Oct 31, 2009 09:13AM
I haven been feeling abnormal for the past few months and I have gotten blood work done a few times since.  Ive gone to the doctor and they say all the lab works look great.  I have had serious bouts of diarrhea, tingling in hands, feet and legs, fatigue, little rash on cheeks and a little on the chest, lower back pain, neck pain, leaky urine, cloudy feeling in my head and for quite some time, random sweats during the day when active and even when not.  Sometimes also at night.  What is it you are supposed to look at in all blood work for disease such as lupus?  I havent had ANA testing yet but had all the liver functions, WBC RBC, kidney function areas all looked at.  Everything was in range and looked great the doctor said.  Anyone have any ideas?!  I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

parvovirus. :-(

It sometimes hits adults really bad, and the effects can last for weeks, months or years. It can also trigger autoimmune diseases, apparently.

Good luck! I know from experience that it's no fun being a medical mystery!!! I hope yours gets solved quickly.

do ask for an ANA and related tests as well as your SED rate and RF factor.

I was already tested for parasites, hmmmm, guess I will go for the ANA, SED(not sure what this one is) and the RF testing.... Can your blood work be tottally normal and still have these problems?

Unfortunately, yes.  Mine is positive one time and negative another.  It is very frustrating.

Trudie is correct.  And we both would add this piece of advice...spend some time in the sun prior to having your ANA tested.  Maybe like an hour or two before, and also do something that would stress yourself out, like watch something scary or exciting.  Different things stress people out.  Everybody is different.  I would just have to watch someone drive crazy...which is not hard to find... anywhere you would go.

Oh, and welcome to MedHelp lupus forum.

God bless, praying for you.
