I am scared to take my first dose of Plaquenil

For the last 2 days I have had diarrhea and my ulcer has been killing me. I am taking Nexium and immodium but no luck. And now I am suppose to take my first dose of Plaquenil tonight. My husband is on his way to Louisiana and I dehydrate easily.

I have researched this drug and read about the side effects, especially the diarrhea, stomach pain or cramps and dizziness and nausea. This is all bad for me. LOL

You might want to wait a few days for other things to settle down.  I am very sensitive to new meds and when I started the plaquenil I had a little bit of nausea in the first month or two and vivid dreams.  It didn't affect anything else.  It has really helped me.  Good luck.
