Is raised, red hard bumps with stinging/shooting pain a symptom of lupus?

I am a teenager who has recently been diagnosed with lupus.  In the past week, my symptoms have been a lot worse, sometimes preventing me from walking.  Also, I have developed a large, red, hard bump on my hback that stings and sends shooting pain down my back. Is this a usual symptom for lupus?

So sorry to hear about your recent dx.  We will try to help you through this journey as much as we can.

As far as I know what you are describing is not a typical symptom or occurance in lupus.  It could be a boil and or related to maybe anemia.  (which could be a result of lupus)

God bless you, Kara
