Hi for some time now i have been under a considerable amount of stress.
The past two years i have being feeling unwell and more recently the past few months it has become almost unbearable.
The symptoms i have are;
Wrist swelling and pain (no injury) right wrist and i am left handed, some days its fine others its really painful and swollen
Ankle swelling-gets worse as the day progresses only right ankle
Stiff joints particularly ankles and lower back in morning which improves throughout the day
Clicking jaw no pain
Clicking joints mostly wrists and elbows
Random stabbing type pains in all over body that take my breath away
On a really bad day my whole body feels weighed down and i feel weak
A small circle on my left leg it was close to the ankle now its on my calf, raised pink in colour not itchy
Usually quite easy going and laid back but of late feel irritable
Wake up some days with my heart racing which i assume is anxiety
Memory is awful, i cannot remember what happened 5 mins ago
Exercise makes me feel exhausted
Wake up in morning feeling like i haven`t been to sleep
Pain in neck both sides and in sides under arms level with chest
Excruciating ear pain right more than left sort of in front of the ears
I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago as i had endometriosis and was taking estrogen and was fine with it then suddenly with the onset of the above and my whole body swelling up, i came off it but although my body is not swollen i have all the above.
I am 37 years old and am finding i am getting depressed with it all, i have been off sick from work for 3 weeks now but even though i am resting its not getting any better...
Sorry one more thing i catch a head cold every week, it used to make me feel more energetic but of late that has wore off, it lasts a few hours and i look like i am ill but usually don`t feel too bad i think it is related to the above.
Thanks, sorry such a long post, getting desperate to feel well again.
Sorry to hear about what you are going through. I have lupus and some of your symtpoms sound somewhat like lupus. But I know there are other illnesses that mimic lupus. Since it sounds like your immune system is LOW, I would lean more toward chronic fatigue or maybe osteo arthritis. Maybe some fibromyalgia. Fibro usually accompanies other illnesses and is rarely seen alone.
Another possibility is adrenal insufficiency. I'm not real familar w/ this, but I encourage you to do some research on it.
Thank you for replying, a little update as my jaw started clicking constantly my dentist thinks it may be TMJ, he has referred me to a specialist but also said to go to my GP as he thinks i have an Autoimmune Disorder to go with it, so may be a little closer to an outcome, i`ll keep you updated.
