Med Alert /Alert Systems

I asked my doctor "under what circumstances do I need to get medical attention?" and he told me that I need to have a MedAlert bracelet.  I was a little freaked out by that.  That's when I realized how serious this is.  I know why I need it. I'm already anemic and my blood pressure is somtimes extemely low- way before this started.  Walking outside to get the mail could put me in a coma.

This is all still new for me. It hasn't even been two months since this started. I seem to have almost every possible symptom and nightmarishly bad lab test.  I have 12 more that need to come back, "just in case" it's something else.  I've gotten a DX faster than anyone that I've seen here. I thought it was supposed to take months or years? As soon as my friends and family read about lupus they feel so sorry for me. I am classic lupus.   When I was lying to myself and saying it was a really really bad allergy, I heard "I don't know, that never never happened to me ever and I'm allergic to everything" "I've never burned like that, you must burn from the inside out" and "it hurts just look at you. you're pretty miserable-do you want some advil?"

It's like I'm dying right in front of everyone- quickly.

Has anyone used an alert system?  I want a small one that I can wear like a watch.  The one my doc suggested is MedAlert I think it's connected to CVS drug stores and it's about 30 dollars a month.

Hi, My grandmother used one of these when she was frail and worried she would fall and break a hip or something. They are very good. My Nanna sometimes accidentally pressed the button as she moved in her sleep. I was the one who had to go check on her, as I was on the list of people to attend in case of the alarm going off, and then to make a decision on getting an ambulance.
The only thing you have to worry about is if you fall and go into a coma, then you can't press the button.
It is definitely worth having if you feel you might need it in home.

I have a lifeline bracelet , I wear the braclet  and it works very good, (have used it alot) though it only works if you are at home so I also wear the regular alert bracelets when I go some where.

My lifeline bracelet I wear all the time it is even water proof and I even wear it to bed.

At first I didn't want it though my case worker said I had to, now I cannot even think about going without it.
