Please help me understand Sjogren's Syndrome.

I've been sick for years and finally got a diagnosis from this Lyme disease specialist of Lyme and coinfections but also Sjogren's.
From what I read some of my major symptoms have been Sjogren's for years. I need help understanding from those who have it, what the symptoms really are.

I have lupus and possible sjogren's.  As far as the Sjogren's goes, it is dry eyes, mouth, nose, skin and hair.  But I also have a dry chronic cough, which have been told is reflux related (which may be related to the Sjorgen's).

Thanks, I just today found your response and appreciate it.
This is the first I heard about the cough. For years I have had a very mild dry cough and my voice gets raspy. My lungs also burn. Breathing feels heavy but is actually, upon testing, just fine.
My glands under my jaw hurt and are swollen too.
Is there anything that can be done for the condition in general?

I take Nexium before I eat or drink anything besides water.  It has taken a while to work, but it has helped w/ the acid reflux symptoms.  

I am still learning about Sjogren's and am not familar w/ the treatment options.  I know steroids can help, but (in my opinion) is not something you would want to take on a regular basis.  Plaquinel, I think, is a good across the board autoimmune med.  There are several over the counter meds that help w/ the dryness (stuff for the mouth and nose).  

I suggest you post your question in the autoimmune forum.  "oldfatchick" is very knowledgeable about Sjogren's.
