Vitamin D deficiency

Hi i have SLE & have now just been told by my GP that i am vitamin D deficient....does anybody else out there who is living with lupus have this ?? Is this a side effect of having lupus or is it a totally different thing not related to having lupus.

Thanks

Yes, I think it is a common thing we all have.  It usually goes along with autoimmune diseases, not just lupus.  But I know I felt better once the D took hold.  My bones didn't hurt as bad and I think I had more energy as well.  It took about a month to begine to feel better.
