cellulitis in fingers

I was diagnosed as having pre- emergent Lupus 3 years ago, after a sytemic strep infection. Last year I had a severe kidney infection over 2months and they found casts, afterwards I developed cellulitis in my hands eventually ending with open sores on the joints of all my fingers.

This year I have been battling strep since October(I lost my state insurance last March when I had ovarian cancer symptoms) After useless amoxicillin then a Z-pack my hands are still swollen and the sores are back.....

I am worried I'll lose my fingers. Does anyone know how to fight and prevent this?
Also -has anyone else been told to wear dress gloves when the temp hits 65 degrees? I don't do it--Too Michael Jackson freaky  ^O^

Im sorry to here bout your situation!

I fear I am heading down the same road. I am a 25 yr old male. I have been ill for 2 months now with a systemic strep infection. Iv been on 3 courses of anti bioitcs with no results. I dont know how/when I got it as I never had much more than a sore throat. I have fluctuating active ASOT titres for two months very high 626, 500 now 576.

My current symptoms are:

-muscle aches and joint pain (no inflammation)
- microscopioc blood in urine
-muscle twitches and spasms
-painful swollen nodes particularly under my left arm pit
- headaches
- occasional fever.
- general fatigue
- I also have  what I thought was just rosacia over my face. Iv had this symptom for as long as I can remember. Now im conerned It could be related to these new syptoms (symptoms) particularly due to its location across the cheeks and nose.

what do u recommend I should do?
