Quite often meds are combined for treating lupus - it sounds like what your daughter is on isa pretty good combination, although I'm not a doctor.  One thing I can say is to be careful if she's taking both ibuprofen and prednisone - both can be very hard on the stomach, so you may also want to ask her doc to prescribe her something to help keep her tummy ok.

I, myself have been on azathioprine (imuran) and prednisone at the same time before, so know they do work pretty well together and can help the other one work better.  They do both tend to lower your resistance to things, however, so also be careful about her exposure to germs and illnesses.  If she starts feeling like she's getting sick or has an infection (persistent sore throat, fevers, feeling EXTRA fatigued, etc.) - notify her doctor - he/she may want to put her on an antibiotic or adjust the meds.

Hope this helps.

I agree she should take something to protect her stomach.  I found the best one to be Zantac 75.  I take it in the AM and it helps me all day without me having to pop extra pills all day.
