is it possible that i was diagnosed with lupus because i have an enlarge spleen??

i was just wondering because my spleen is large...and i think its close to my ribs and i have pain sometimes...but i have lupus and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome as well, ive been tested.

You asked if lupus could be diagnosed because of an enlarged spleen.  No, there are criteria for the dx.  

Could lupus cause the spleen to be enlarged.  The answer to that is yes.

Does the antiphospholipid antibody cause blood clots?  Do they think the enlarged spleen is connected to this antibody?

thanks. yes the APS cause blood clots and i believe it is but i was never told this was case, but like u said lupus can cause the spleen to enlarge..
