My sisters both has lupus and they said my mother was the carrier. I haven't got tested for it, but I have no symptoms tho. Can you get blood work if you don't have insurance.

Yes, you can get blood work done, you will have to pay cash.  Advise your doctor that you are paying out of your own pocket.  Sometimes, they can cut you a price break on the office visit, and they often will only order the more specific blood work that they need. If you are not having symptoms, you may be able to get away with not doing anything until you do have symptoms, or insurance, whichever comes first.
