your thoughts on dyeing hair

hey everyone,

i have not been officially dx with lupus as of yet, but my doc seems to think i have negative ana lupus. i have read so much info on this disease and have come across different articles about hair falling out. i want, i need to dye my hair, i have roots!!  currently my hair is falling out, thinning all over, not falling out in patches. it seems some people think it will worsen the hair problem while others say there is no evidence of it. what are your thoughts??

second question i have....i had my blood drawn for the anti-dna and complement tests on august 4th. i live in ohio and my doc sent my blood to st. louis for the testing. its been a month now and i still haven't received my results. do these blood tests take longer?? is it because they may have found something?? its a nail bitter for me, since i have had nothing but negative ana tests, but i have sooooo many symptoms!!!

one last question. does anyone with this disease ever get sick from playing video games?? i know it sounds really strange, but after trying to play with my kids on the ps3 5 different times and getting sick, its not a coincidence!! i get hives/blisters, swelling, blurred vision, tunnel vision, nausea, even worse fatigue, and horrible headaches. i don't know why its affecting me like this, video games never used to before, but we just purchased the ps3. its played on a 42 inch plasma tv if that makes a difference. i even get sick when i don't play but just watch, and it will start within 15 mins or so. just curious why?? i am having seizure episodes of some type, i have a sleep study to go to for the eeg. these seizures only happens at night. the doc is not sure what is going on with this seizure thing. i get paralyzed at first, start to shake and twist, but i am completely aware of what is happening to me and around me. i thought i was crazy till my hubby saw me have one. now they are becomming more and more frequent. could this be a reason i get sick from the video games???

I do see that I have an increase in hair loss but it isn't noticeable.  I tried to go without colouring my hair but couldn't do it so I do colour.  

The blood tests you mentioned do take about a month to come back so that is to be expected, especially with it being sent away.

I cannot handle video games.  I get so dizzy and I get headaches too.  I haven't tried them for a while but I have found that anything that causes stress (scary movies too) can trigger a flare up of symptoms.

thanks for your info, i wasn't sure if i should dye my hair, or just scare everyone away, lol!!! it just seems like the flood gates of hell opened for me this year, with symptom after symptom. i have been sick for awhile, about 5 years, but i was able to tolerate it. this year, no way i can ignore my symptoms. this is the first year ever, that video games bother me. strange thing is, my hubby was flipping through the ps3 book and found that the games can trigger seizures and photosensitivity!!!! who would of thought?? thanks again and god bless you!!!
