B-12 Injections

So, my doctor has given me a prescription for methylcobalamin intramuscular B-12 injections. You can't find these at standard pharmacies, but there is a local compounding pharmacy around here that can make it.

I looked at my labwork, and my B-12 was within "normal range", and doubted that I really needed these injections, so I never filled it. My doctor tells me I should use them. After some research in some books I bought, even though I am in the "normal range", the books I read seem to say that B-12 shots would benefit me since my B-12 is much below 500.

Does anyone here have experience with these injections? I understand they can give you energy and help your brain, but unfortunately when I think of energy, I think of the surges of panic and the feeling of doom.

So, my question is, could these B-12 injections help the panic and feelings of dying, or can it make it worse? I need to be very careful of ANYTHING i put in my body.

I think a call to your doctor to ask these questions would be a good idea.  They are good questions.

not sure and I agree you need to ask these questions to your dr. My LLMD has given me methl b -12 shots in her office for specific ailments, neck pain, leg pain, etc.for Lyme and targeted the correct area to treat the pain and discomfort.  Not sure if we are talking about the same thing here or not??
