B.burdorferi - spirochete

hi, some of you here will remember my poss. 'worm' issue!!

I have been doing some research into 'nematode/worm' in humans - thought some of you might find this interesting:

Willy Burdorfer [the discoverer of B.burdorferi - spirochete] - discovered that ticks carry [amongst other things] - nematodes [worms] - worms carry bacteria eg;  E.Coli, Salmonella

there is research going on here in u.k. of the possibility that the worm could act as a barrier for 'pathogens [bacteria]
entering the body - giving the pathogens a 'shield' from our own immune system

I won't go into detail but I found this subject makes very interesting reading - I guess it is the connection between 'Willy Burdorfer' and Nematodes  - carried by ticks.
