Becoming Pregnant after Treatment

I was wondering what is the latest info out there on becoming pregnant with Lymes. I had my daughter 19 months ago and when I was pregnant I felt so much better and unlike all my counterparts I was never tired! LLMD said this is typical sometimes of pregnant women with Lymes, MS, and RA. My DD seems alright and does not have Lymes. I heard babies get Lymes more often if their mother got bitten while pregnant instead of getting bitten long before. Now there is a book I want to read about the Autism Lymes connection and I've read stories about people with Lymes having stillborn children and now I am scared. I have chronic Lymes and CDC positive for it, but I am hoping to get pg after treatment. Has anyone had any experience or knowledge about this?

From I understand from LLMD is that it is a 50/50 chance an infant get Lyme from the mother when not treated. I know that these symptoms started 3 months after having a baby so it did affect it apparently. I  still hope to finish treatment and have another baby again. My plan of action is go through my treatment first see if things get better and then become pregnant. I agree it's not a good idea right now.

My LLMD just mentioned to me on friday (as she warned about my Antibiotics decreasing effectiveness of BC pills) that a mother infected with Lyme can in fact pass it on to her offspring and that when patients of hers who have had Lyme become pregnant, she treats them with lowest dose possible of amoxacillin(sp?) during pregnancy to prevent trasmission to the baby. I'm not sure if this applies any differently to chronic lyme or not.

I would just make sure that you find yourself a really good LLMD for before, during and after pregnancy. I've also read that child birth (or any stress on your body) can cause Lyme relapse. I'm not sure if the treatment with Amox helps that or not....

But that's just the opinion of my doc and the little tid bit of info she gave me on friday..... Have you talked to your LLMD about it yet?
