Concerned about Lyme

I was bitten by a tick in Central Virginia about 16 months ago, with raised read bullseye rash.  Went to Patient Firt and got 10 day run of antibiotics....kkind of forgot about it.   Months later started with an array of problems- including fatigue/lethargy, muscle weakness and twitching, worsening TMJ, painful "crackling" neck.   It's cyclical.  i'll start going down hill and get hit and be down for about 2 weeks to 3 weeks.  I'll then bounce up and feel like a new person--like I could run 5 miles.   Feel fine for a bit and then back down the spiral.   Doc did viral checks, bloodworkup, and ultimately MRI of brain and spine to rule out MS.....all negative.   The last thing he said was "hmmm maybe lyme"  THta made me remember the tick bite before and we planned to get tested.   I were thereafter moved with my job to Georgia.  So far, I run the history to the Docs and they just stare and come back with, "we don't have that here......one actually said, If you have had lyme that long you'd be totally incapacited."   I'm so frustrated and would greatly appreciate any thoughts/wisdom/advice.  Thank you.
