Yes, I found out the drenching sweats were from Babesia. I went on 6 months of Malarone and this seemed to cure the Babs and now I just have regular tolerable hot flashes. I take natural hormone replacement therapy given to me by my LLMD who is a family medicine doc. It helps.
did you ever get any help for this? I am trying to find something that works, so far, nothing has..
Yes I have taken temperatures on some and they are normal. I would love to be freezing Colgate, LOL
This is so wierd, I am the opposite. Always freezing cold!
Luckily my husband is a walking radiator, and my little boy is perpetually too hot (which I think is connected with Lyme) so I just demand a cuddle from either of them when I really cannot take the cold any more!
Have you guys tried taking your temperature throughout these episodes? Could it be that you're actually getting brief fevers that some and go? My lyme doc said you can get flash feversfrom lyme, that comes and pass in no time.
Rico, now that I know I have Lyme, I am pretty sure the hot flashes that started in my mid forties were from that. I use to work at a desk with one desk fan on the left of me and one on the right. I got made fun of big time!
LOL! I am mid-forties, so it is hard to tell if I get too hot sometimes because I might be peri-menopausal, or because Lyme is messing with me. I can tell that the heat intolerance I suffered last year is better, but I still don't want to go outside if it's over 80. I used to love it in the 80's (lifelong California girl).
I guess that is yet another symptom I will have to wait and see on.
Val - being part polar bear, it's a good thing you don't live in the southwest!
I freeze my fiancée out, It feels like I am on fire, I lay naked in my room with a fan blowing on me. It was bad enough having regular hot flashes where the back of my hair would be soaked, this is like nothing will help and now I wonder if my early years of getting hot flashes was due to the Lyme. Its no fair women have to wear shirts in public! LOL.
I definitely suffer with this. I know I've mentioned a few times that I have a complete intolerance to heat, but it was ridiculous while we were at the hospital! My hair would get so sweaty trying to sleep that it was as wet as if I had just gotten out of the shower. It was disgusting.
I get overheated at night at home in my 50-55 degree room, but I was purely miserable in the 70-75 degree rooms we were supposed to sleep in there. I feel a little guilty about the electricity it takes to keep our bedroom that cold, but I don't heat it at all during the winter and it gets cold enough to see your breath, so hopefully that evens things out a bit :) THANK GOD my husband is part polar bear like me and doesn't mind!!
I haven't had major hot flashes, but I do have what I call "excessive warmth/sweating." Sometimes I will feel warmer than I should and my back starts sweating. I had really sweaty feet last fall for a few days, which I had never had before. I had chalked it up to temperatue regulation problems caused by Lyme.
Yours does sound connected to the new supplement.
Good! Let us know how it goes -- !
Yes she knows I am taking them, I am going to see her in next couple days.
If your doc is not aware of the supps you are taking, I would run it past him/her before taking any more of it.
