Family and Friends Are No Help!

So confusing....was bit by an adult female deer tick on 7/28, pulled it out immediately but head was stuck in for approx. 17hrs. (was tough digging it out) within 2-3 days i only had a stiff neck then flu-like symptoms started and my lymphnodes are swollen especially the one right near my bite but I really didnt know much about lyme disease until this forum which caused me see a doctor on 8/10 she gave me doxy for 4 weeks and i started on it the same day. On 8/13 I had a urinalysis and western blot IGG and IGM. I got my test results back on 8/17 as follows:

Western Blot - NEGATIVE and all IGG and IGM Bands were Non-Reactive (as expected since it's so early)
My WBC is 15.9 which is High and my Absolute Neutrophils is 11718, (normal range is 1500-7800 cells/uL) so that's super high!
Hemoglobin,Hematocrit, MCV ans MCH are also high...Obviously I have a severe bacterial infection but my Doc says no Lyme, on the 24th I have to have my WBC checked again to see if there is any change (for the better)

Urinalysis: Squamous Epithelial Cells 10-20 and Bacteria - Moderate..on an Endnote it states "unable to report due to significant platelet clumping. Platelet count appears normal." Well that's a scary statement.

My tick is being tested for co-infections at Igenex since my doc seems to think that if the Western Blot is neg, then theres no need for concern.
My stiff neck comes and goes but the back pain which is localized in the middle is pretty rough and now i am constantly feeling like there are things crawling around across my back but on the inside. Yesterday morn i woke up with something new...the insides of my lips (mainly upper) feels like i have sucked on 100 lollipops and is red and raw.
I have added a pic of what my bite looks like since it seems to look different than many other pics i've seen, this was taken on 8/14 and it looks only slightly better today.
I guess i'm just looking for some feedback from people who are knowledgeable since my family and friends seem to think Lyme isnt a big deal and they think that I am taking all this to the extreme.

Also....the tick bite area has moments throughout the day where it itches like hell!

It's true that ticks can carry diseases other than Lyme, but it's also true that there are maybe 100 strains of Lyme and only some are detected by test.  

Did your dr test you for any other tickborne diseases besides Lyme?  Doxy may not be effective against, for example, Babesiosis and bartonella.  The different diseases carried by the ticks all have different symptoms, and everyone reacts differently especially if there is a combo of diseases.  For example, Babesiosis is similar to malaria and definitely needs different drugs from Lyme.

Would your doc consider testing through Igenex?  Tho some MDs don't like/trust Igenex (for reasons I have never heard stated), but Igenex can do a PCR test which looks for bits of the Lyme bacteria itself, instead of relying on finding antibodies your immune system has produced against the Lyme bacteria.  If you search 'igenex' online, they have upgraded their website since the last time I looked at it, and it explains their tests and methodology.

Not everyone gets the 'classic' bullseye rash, but some MDs put a lot of value on having that rash.  It's hard to convince them otherwise.

Try to educate your doc, but at the same time you might go doc-shopping quietly in case you need to make a change.  The sooner the better.
